Bring a Basket to Kid’s Kirk: The Joy of Easter!
Empty Tomb Pastries, Crafts, Egg Hunt and more!During Kid’s Kirk the children will hear the Joyous Message of Easter! We’ll make Empty Tomb pastries, spin art Wooden Eggs and Crosses. Then they’ll head out to the lawn for an Easter Egg Hunt (bring a basket!), photo op with beautiful backdrops and a special guest. The entire congregation is encouraged to come share the Joy of Easter with the children with refreshments.
Don’t forget to take your Easter Lily home if you donated to honor a loved one.
Add a flower to our Living Cross!
Thanks to Sharon Smith (flowers) and Kelly Beiro (early morning legwork), we will once again have our Living Cross to proclaim to our neighbors that “Christ is risen indeed!”
You’re invited, along with our community neighbors, to select a bloom provided, or bring a few from home, and add it to our cross.
Thanks also to Paul, our facilities superman, for preparing the cross for the flowers and getting it out front.

Jett and Steve Tanner hosted a New Orleans style dinner at their home, decorated with multiple Easter trees and bunnies galore. Enjoying the evening were (starting bottom left): Lynda Waters, Kim Brannan, Betsy McElaney, Pat Van Bueren, Laura Maduri, Andrea & Greg Jones, and Jett and Steve Tanner.Below … Joe and Ruia Gonzalez hosted at their home on Lake Magdalene, along with Ann & Mark Maxey, complete with a sunset boat ride. On the boat, (bottom right) were: Joe & Ruia Gonzalez, Brian & Sandy Kennedy, Bob & Carol Kline, Ann & Mark Maxey.
More Dinners for 8!
Ann and Bruce Orand hosted a Greek-themed dinner at their new home (post Helene) along with Lynda Waters. Attending were (center table) Bruce Orand, Lynda Waters, James & Nicole Welch, Stacy & Marc Wallace, Kelly Beiro and Ann Orand. Adam Orand joined the group later, and they (well, most everybody) decided that a nerdy game club would be a perfect way to continue the new friendships.Below, kids and a couple of Dads enjoyed the Crum’s pool along with a yummy barbeque spread. Adults attending: John & Jinger Hougen, Renee Gardner & Brian Malek, Laura & Chris Tanner, Esther & Ulrick Germaine and Stacey & Josh Crum (plus Lynda Waters who snuck over from next door to take pictures). Kids included Stella Malek, Natalie & Joanna Tanner, Joshua Germaine, Margot & Carter Crum.
