That’s a Lotta Eggs!
Will you help?We are planning for a lot of children for Easter (and hopefully Palm Sunday, too). That’s a lotta eggs … like 360 or more!
Please bring a dozen or more plastic eggs, filled with individually wrapped goodies or small fun items. Please pack in bags of 12 and leave in office or in the sanctuary foyer by Palm Sunday, April 13.
Jett could use some helping hands, too. Contact her at 813-625-0251, jett.tanner@gmail.com, or call the office.
Give Up – or Do – Something for Lent
We’re sure you’ve heard of giving up something during the season of Lent. The Missions Ministry encourages you to DO Something … donate some food or give up some funds. You’ll help lift up families (over 200!) served by OUR Pantry for End 68 Hours of Hunger.
Take a bag with a list from the pew and shop. If you bought one small item each of the 40 days of Lent, that would be super. Please bring the items to church (M-F 9am – 1pm) or to 10am Worship Sundays from now until Palm Sunday, April 13.
Write a check to HPPC and mark it Lenten Food Drive or find the Lenten Food Drive link on the Text to Give site.
Thanks for your generosity.
Our Flowering Cross Needs of a Champion!
Do YOU want to champion this joyful symbol which is enjoyed by our entire Hyde Park Community? Paul, our facilities supervisor, has done all the “heavy lifting”, so just a bit on Easter morning is needed: instructions available.
Flowering the cross is a Western Christian tradition practiced at Easter, in which worshippers place flowers on the bare wooden cross to symbolize the new life that we have in Jesus’ resurrection.
Please contact the office if you can help, or see Stacey Crum or Dek Wright.
