Cross Walkers Young-ish Adult Dinner
Tues. Feb. 18 @6:30!
February’s study is on Proximity and finding your community right where you are. We’ll explore how God dwells in our own lives and times when we find it challenging to believe he is dwelling within us. Do you feel God’s presence in your life?

No required reading, but if you want a bit of context ahead of time, check this out:

  • Genesis 3:8 (What was God’s desire for Adam & Eve?)
  • Exodus 25:8-9 (What was the purpose of the Tabernacle?)
  • Jeremiah 31:31-34 (What were God’s desires and promise of reconciliation?)
  • Matthew 1:22-23 (What were God’s desires through Christ?)
  • 1 Corinthians 3:16 (For those who trust Immanuel, what does God promise?)
  • Ephesians 2:22 (How are we being built?)

Thanks to all who came last month! An extra special thanks to Bob and Carol for hosting and cooking us a delicious meal … as always!

CHURCH NEWS

Bring condensed soup for Souper Bowl Sunday to feed kids of End 68.

We all enjoy game day dinners, pricey commercials, and the big game. But some children served by End 68 Hours of Hunger will not be lucky enough to have a get-together or snacks. Let’s help warm their winter with soups kids would love to eat (not cream soup) and condensed like Campbell’s (so it isn’t so heavy). Bring your soup THIS Sunday … to church or to the party!

Annual Meeting of the Congregation
Sunday, Feb. 23rd following Worship

This Annual Meeting will be a little different, with lots more information. We’ll receive the End of Year Reports from each Committee, including updates from the Admin and Building Committee on renovations; Budget reports for ending year 2024 and 2025 Budget from the Treasurer; Interim Pastor renewal information; and Clerk’s end of year report.

Information Packets will be available at Worship on February 16th, or can be requested by email.
Please stay a bit after for Fellowship with Coffee and Treats.

“A Journey: Two Women, One Man, and a Lot of Wheat”
The Cast Takes a Bow
Last Sunday, we were treated to the video produced by the Hyde Park Presbyterian Thesbyterians, the youth of the Sunday School class led by Harriet Plyler. Jett Tanner did a great job of introducing the story of Ruth to all 11 children present, and handing out stalks of wheat.
Thank you Jett, co-chair of the Christian Education Committee … and a giant round of applause to Harriet: director, producer, film editor, casting director and costume designer.
