Please Donate to our own HPPC Disaster Emergency Fund
Many of our members were affected by Hurricane Helene, some losing nearly everything to the flood. Our emergency fund is not capable of addressing such widespread and deeply significant damage. If you would like to help monetarily, here is how.
If you are writing a check to Hyde Park Presbyterian Church, or through your Bill Pay, note Disaster Emergency Fund. Thank you!
Let us know if you are affected, so we can help!
CLICK HERE to send an email to Jett Tanner who is coordinating various needs (There’s a form in this email). We can deliver sandwiches to your clean up site or temporary residence, we have masks, gloves, disinfecting wipes, bath towels and more. You can also reach out to Jett at 813-813-625-0251.

Friday, Oct. 4th @ 5:00 pm Come Cook With Us at Lynda’s
It’s time to make some more casseroles; our freezer is bare! We always keep a supply of frozen meals for those who have health issues, new babies and life events. As we all know, the needs are huge with families displaced from their homes. Lynda Waters will be hosting the cooking fest at 314 N Lauber Way. Ingredients are provided and it’s always fun, so please plan on coming this Friday @ 5pm.
RSVP to Lynda, just so we can be prepared, but just show up if you can!
Would you like to help?
There are so many ways you can help and the need is great! Please CLICK HERE to see options or send your name, cell phone and email to Jett Tanner at jett.tanner@gmail.com or by text at 813-625-0251. Please click above to send the form if possible. Jett will match you with someone in need.
Above photos: dozens and dozens of cookies and muffins made by Jett; dozens of laundry done by Stacey Crum, Lynda Waters and others, the route Harriet Plyler drove on Wednesday delivering lunches (in a borrowed car as hers was drowned), the team that showed up to help move wet furniture to the curb. The SWAT Team of amazing ladies who have a text chain that would wrap around the church: Jett, Harriet, Lynda, Betsy, Chris B, and the Brannan ladies (two of whom are out of town, but still helping); Sandy for a Target run for toiletries, towels … the list goes on and on!

Prayers for the Corwin Family
Scott Corwin went to his heavenly home on Friday, September 27. Please pray for Nancy and their daughters and families as they try to reconcile their lives without his physical presence. Nancy is most grateful for family, friends and the abiding love and support of our Heavenly Father. Information on services will be shared when available.
Thank You Karla, for bringing us “How Our Bible Came to Be”
After enjoying 6 weeks of a heavily researched, deeply theological presentation, engagingly touched with humor and graphics, the adult class wishes to thank member Karla Grant for her gracious acceptance to teach.
This class sprang from a previous class discussion of The Wired Word (stories ripped from the headlines!) and we will return to these discussions this Sunday.
