Thornwell: Laying Foundations for Strong Families
Impact Report

The 2023 Impact Report is a guided tour into the heart of Thornwell’s ministry. Each page is a behind-the-scenes look at the strategies and outcomes of our mission to “provide safe and nurturing environments where we educate, equip, and support children and families to thrive.”  As you read, please keep in mind that our impact is a testament to the strength of unity and community. Your prayers, encouragement, and generosity are cherished because they make a powerful impact.

My favorite impact story (p. 14) is about the hope and healing Jason and his parents found through Building Families. When I read this story, I think of my own family and how much my adopted daughters, Arabella and Liana, have benefited from “prioritizing connection over correction.” Their little hearts have blossomed as we have focused on loving connection and building trust. Like Jason and his parents, we struggled on our own, but we found strength and hope through professional intervention and a dynamic Christian support system.

We celebrate the life-changing impact of Thornwell’s ministry with you! You give faithfully and life-changing programs grow. You advocate for abused and neglected children and more people join the cause. You pray and the Lord brings hope and healing. For all that you do and for every loving impact you make, you are cherished.

Please read our 2023 Digital Impact Report to learn more about how you have made a loving impact!

Sincerely,
Joseph Murrey

Kendall McLaren: Thornwell’s Building Families Resource at HPPC
Through Thornwell, Kendall provides individual and family therapy either in-home or via telehealth. Throughout their time in the program, families receive 2 sessions per week (each an hour long) for 12-15 weeks. Each session looks different depending on the unique goals of each family, and Kendall works hard to tailor services to meet each family’s needs.CLICK HERE for a 2-minute video about how Building Families can help families find hope and healing in place of fear and despair.

Feeding Friends
Now it’s YOUR turn! Please pick up a dinner from the downstairs kitchen freezer for a friend or neighbor who could use a break from cooking dinner one night. There are many needs around us … let’s step out of our comfort zone and offer a smile and a meal.

The cooking team always has fun making them; now you can have fun sharing them!
