Work Day Spruced Up the Church Yard
A big Thank You! to those who stayed after our brief service last Sunday to help clean up the yard of the church. The city has picked up the enormous piles of tree debris cleaned up by Paul and another work group. Thank you team!

Pastor John Will NEVER ask for Gift Cards!

A Scam Email apparently was sent out last week under Pastor John’s name asking for gift cards. These types of scams are all too common. It may look like a legitimate email, but it is not. Do not EVER go buy gift cards based on an email or phone call.

Jaraux Washington with Elevate Tampa Bay, one of our upstairs tenants, will be giving a Minute for Mission. Elevate’s mission: building long-term, life-changing relationships with urban youth, equipping them to thrive and contribute to their community.
Marc Wallace joined the HPPC church community in early 2011, quickly stepping into supporting sound and IT needs, where he faithfully serves today. In 2014-2015, Marc was ordained as a minister through Garden Conwell Theological Seminary. Marc and his wife Stacy enjoy adventures with their custom Jeep “Mouse.” He also serves as a Board Member of the Orlando Jeep Club and loves going “jeepin” with friends.

Children are “shepherded out” of Worship after the Children’s Time for Sunday School and activities until Noon. The Adult Class will meet at 11:00 in the Conference Room with stories “ripped from the headlines”.

Want to Join The Steeple People?Our steeple now has been treated for termites, repaired and painted. Hallelujah! Then Hurricane Milton blew through and toppled the Cross. The Cross was hanging by a thread (cord) after a large metal pipe gave way! Yikes! It is quite large and weighs over 100 pounds! We are so thankful that no one was hurt, and it has been safely taken down.

We are looking for one-time donations towards this historic symbol of HPPC’s presence in the Hyde Park Community to cover the costs of the steeple refurbishment and cross. What better way to honor someone who has been special in our lives, or in the life of the church, than to symbolically make them part of this symbol of hope, life and God’s everlasting presence in Hyde Park?

If you would like to join the Waters/Crum family, and other church families whose memorial funds will be designated for this project, please consider making a memorial contribution in the name of a loved one … or just contribute because you want to help! There will be a dedication and recognition service in the new year.
