“Born and raised in the DC area, he eventually decided to follow his twin passions of “Paychecks” and “Avoiding Winter As Much As Possible” and moved to Florida, where he now works for the government on MacDill AFB. Quickly realizing that rock climbing was no longer particularly feasible hobby, he took up the more Florida-friendly activities of kayaking, paddleboarding, and sailing. He also enjoys not taking things particularly seriously, absurd 3D printing projects, poking fun at himself and the Oxford comma. A fun fact about Dan is that he is of Swiss descent (other than his immediate family in Virginia, all the rest of his relatives are still in Switzerland), which means his genetic predisposition to neutrality means that he is particularly ill-suited for conflict resolution. He is currently unmarried with no children, having not found anyone willing to put up with him long-term, which after this disaster of a bio, is probably self-evident to the reader.”
