Share the Joy — Guardian ad Litem Toy and Gift Campaign:
Bring to Tree Lighting Dec. 4; deadline December 11th
The HydePark Missions Ministry is partnering again with Guardian ad Litem to provide Christmas gifts for children served by them. These children range from infancy through age 20. We are also asking for pizza and fast food gift cards ($10-$15) that teens can use for experiences with their peers, and foster parents can provide treats for their GAL child and family.
Suggestions for toys based on GAL input include:
Scout by Leap Frog
Fisher Price Plush Baby toy puppy
Dolls — of many colors, ages etc.
Cars and Trucks – Big ones are really popular!
Science kits and Arts and Craft kits
Crayola Light board
Lego Kits
Since 1980, GAL has served abused, abandoned and neglected children who are supervised by the Child Dependency Court. The GAL ensures that the best interests and needs of the child are identified and addressed in the court and community.

CHURCH NEWS
Thank you to all Focus Group attendees!
This past weekend we had 24 church members give the gift of their time on a busy weekend to participate in focus groups held at HPPC. Led by Rich Hurst, a consultant with Leighton Ford Ministries, members shared their thoughts, ideas and feelings related to a variety of different issues, programs and state of our church. This program followed the church-wide survey conducted last month to allow members the opportunity to explore and drill down more deeply the elements they deem important in rebuilding our church. Much thanks to all who participated! May God bless us as we seek to honor Him and work together to grow HPPC to become a bright light in our community.
We surpassed our goal of 70% participation in the survey and your session will celebrate with dance on December 11. Thank you to all 58 who completed the survey!
Elder Ordination & Installation, November 6
A new class of elders were installed on November 6, with elders who had previously served in any PCUSA church coming forward for the prayer. Ordained and installed were Mary Beth Freeman, Megan Leibl and Dek Wright; installed were Guy Bryant, Nancy Corwin, and in absentia, Stacey Crum.
These elders underwent training on Nov. 14 and have been included in the information coming back from Leighton Ford Ministries.
Vesper Service Baptisms, November 6
The sacrament of Christian baptism was administered to Olivia and Sophia Rivers in a vesper service in the chapel last Sunday, and Robin Cote joined the membership of HydePark Pres through baptism.
