Adult Sunday School Classes
The last two classes of “Strangers Who Would be Friends.” These lessons from the Last Supper are led by Thompson Plyler via Zoom from New York on April 16th & 23rd. “Parables: Portraits of God’s Kingdom in Matthew, Mark, and Luke” will follow; a Bible Study led by Lynda Waters.
Tue. April 18th: A new “life group” is forming. Let’s get together!
Adults from college grads through parents of young children are gathering for dinner and an exchange of ideas for some fun fellowship plans on Tuesday evening at the home of Carol and Bob Kline. Dinner is provided; just respond below that you (and maybe a friend) will be coming so Bob and Carol are prepared.
Adults only; no child care provided.

Vacation Bible School Summer Day Camp

Easter Worship at 10:00 am
Christ is risen. He is risen indeed! Alleluia! Over 120 people celebrated Christ’s resurrection at the 10:00 am Worship Service., and more worshipers celebrated on the lawn at the SonRise Service.
Maundy Thursday Dinner & Communion
The foot traffic along Swann was treated to the lovely sight of 40 people enjoying dinner and fellowship. Brad Freeman and Josh Crum read a portion of Peter Marshall’s “The First Easter” and Rev. James celebrated Communion with the elements presented on each table. Arnel Senson provided soft guitar music. It was very reminiscent of the actual last supper Christ celebrated with his disciples.
Many thanks to Stacey Crum who coordinated all the volunteers, very many details and beautiful table settings complete with palm leaves, lanterns and family-style dinners. And it sure was nice to have the amazing HPPC Family Legacy Playground in memory of John Brannan for the children to run off some extra steam!
Three Baptisms on March 12, 2023
Rev. James D. Friesen administered the sacrament of adult baptism on Sunday, March 12th to Iris Kuhn, and child baptism to her son Jake Kuhn.
Emily and Anthony Cofrancesco presented their son
Giovanni Paul Cofrancesco for infant baptism.
Kim Brannan assisted with the charge to the congregation, and the strains of “Jesus Loves Me” resounded as all walked down the center aisle. Welcome Iris, Jake, and Giovanni!
Feeding Friends Meals are ready!
On March 21st, 11 ladies (their ages spanning 8 decades!) prepared many meals that are now available to be taken and delivered to those in need.
Monk Brannan’s popular recipe for Chicken Tetrazzini and a ground beef Stuffed Shells dish were prepared among much laughter and sharing. Many, many thanks to Jane Brannan for furnishing all the ingredients, packaging and recipes. Betsy McElaney and Marie Warner worked with Margot and Carter Claire Crum on stuffing the large seashells. Joining in the picking of chicken and creation of sauces were Stacey Crum, Ann Orand, Sandy Kennedy, Harriet Plyler and Lynda Waters.
The main dishes are stored in the freezer of the downstairs refrigerator; nice white bags are in the closet there. Grab a meal or two, add a salad, bread and maybe something sweet and you are set to deliver a delicious meal to that new neighbor, someone who’s recovering, or someone who just needs a break from preparing dinner.
The meals are prepared; now it’s up to you to go and share them! More meals are in the upstairs freezer, so don’t be shy about taking a few.

WHEN? At 8:28 am and 8:28 pmWhy such an odd time? Praying at the same time, twice a day, will help us get into a predictable habit. We have chosen this specific time to unite all of us with the promise of Romans 8:28 which proclaims … “We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to His purpose.”
We believe that we are called by God and we desire to see His will and purposes fleshed out here at HPPC. Join us. Pray twice a day at 8:28!!
