CHURCH NEWS

THANK YOU!

End 68 Hours of Hunger is very thankful for your generosity during Lent and for the wonderful partnership we have with you. We wish you God’s blessing throughout the year. Thank you.

What a joyous Easter Sunday, with a beautiful Living Cross on Swann inviting people to add a flower. (thanks to Sharon Smith and Kelly Beiro, and Paul our facilities superman.) A friendly meet & greet made guests feel welcome. Beautiful music (thanks to Cheryl Cox, Madden Moore and Stacey Crum) and an inspiring sermon on how you can  become the person God created you to be from Rev. John Hougen.

Children heard the Easter Story of Jesus’ resurrection and saw intricately decorated wooden eggs from Ukraine (thank you Jett Tanner). At Kids Kirk, they did crafts with crosses, wooden eggs, and made Empty Tomb pastries (thank you Stacy Wallace for assisting). A rousing Easter Egg Hunt with over 600 filled eggs, a photo op with the Easter bunny (thank you to the one who may want to remain anonymous) added to the fun. Light refreshments of sherbet punch, muffins and mango bread wrapped up the festivities (thanks to Ann Maxey, Harriet Plyler and Lynda Waters).

Many thanks to all the other helping hands who contributed to the many aspects of this special day. A huge Thank You to Jett Tanner who wrangled everything from the Easter bunny, helpers, provided beautiful crafts for the kids, and wonderful kid-friendly messages for the children throughout Lent. You are a blessing!
