CHURCH NEWS

Welcome Interim Pastor John Hougen
and his wife Jinger!

Reverend John Hougen has been an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church USA for over 30 years serving congregations in Minnesota, Kansas, and Iowa. In 2021, John moved to the Tampa area. He and his wife Jinger are happy to be residing in the Sunshine State, and they especially enjoy living near their four children (Jennifer, John, Johanna, and Justin) and their three grandchildren (Ella, Jack, and Owen).

John’s ministry focus is on building relationships. He passionately believes that good, solid relationships become the engine that drives a successful organization. John is certified in the PCUSA Transitional Ministry Training, and he brings his experience and skills to his ministry at HPPC.

In his leisure time, John enjoys traveling, golf, and a crisp craft beer enjoyed with friends.

Join us for the Welcome Reception after Worship!

A prayer for Ash Wednesday, as we begin the 40 days of Lent.

Our sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. O Lord, lift us, cleanse us and restore us, that we may know the joy of your salvation, bring glory to you in all things and serve our neighbors in love; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Sat. Feb. 17 Memorial Services at 11am;
HPPC and Brewer & Sons Funeral Home

Unfortunately the memorial services of Virginia Kirby and Chip Waters will conflict, but the visitation and celebrations with friends do not. We hope many of you will be able to balance your calendars to express condolences and share good memories with the families of these HPPC members.

Happy Valentine’s Day Today1

Give someone you love a hug, or give them a call. And let them know that God loves them too!

And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.”
