Lenten Service Wednesdays: Register on Church Center
You are invited to join the Missions Ministry in your Lenten Wednesday Journey. We hope you’ll want to learn more about homelessness in our community on March 1 and all ages will help pack Manna Bags to be given to those you encounter. We especially need your help to collect food for End 68 Hours of Hunger’s children. There are more than 860 kids getting help from them (and us). A bag for your use will be on the pews next Sunday. If you are not attending but want to help, see the banner to see what items to collect and ask neighbors and friends to help. We hope HPPC can get at least 75 bags filled! Bags can be brought with you on Sundays or brought to our church on Wednesday, March 8 from 5:50 to 8:00 pm. You can “drive through” to donate.

An amazing Lenten Devotions Booklet for children is available for families to take home. Miss Ilma will use these themes during Sunday school. The children have already made some pretty special bracelets.

“How Sweet the Sound” will be our weekly guide for adult Sunday school, tying in with the Sermon Series.

CHURCH NEWS

Thank You for your quiet service to the Lord
New servant(s) needed.
The Session (and now joined by several former Worship chairs) expressed immense gratitude to Delisa Hooper, who for many years has graciously volunteered to prepare the elements for Communion in our worship services. We are now searching for a replacement — perhaps several people who may take turns on a rotating basis. You do not need to be an elder to prepare the elements; training will be provided. If interested, please contact Stacey Crum or Mary Beth Freeman, Worship Committee.

These are your Session members and Committees. They can’t wait to hear from you and how you want to help in their ministry! Please email the Office or the Clerk for contact information!

Check out the additions to our big sign!

We want to let all that foot and auto traffic know that good things are happening here at HPPC! You’ll see a sign for Vacation Bible School, and this one for End 68 Hours of Hunger. We already need to change the number as the children served now number over 200 more! Watch as that number continues to grow.
