Although originally trained as an engineer, with two engineering degrees from the University of Michigan, as an early retired Dupont executive, Norm eventually felt a call to the ministry. He graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary (2002) and began a journey that eventually led him to serve churches and ministries in Delaware and Daytona Beach, FL.
After being called to the Tampa area (2005), Norm served four churches, the Presbytery of Tampa Bay and the Synod of the South Atlantic as Stated Supply, Parish Associate, Presbytery Personnel Committee (Chairman), Stated Clerk of the Presbytery, Trustee of the Presbytery (Chairman), Clerk of the Synod Permanent Judicial Commission and the Presbytery Committee on Racial Equity (Chairman).
Norm is a bowler and former golfer who also enjoys reading, tinkering with computers and electronic devices, travel, gospel music, jazz, occasionally writing, and meeting new people. Meanwhile, as a now honorably retired minister, the primary objective of his spiritual journey is to continually seek God’s will in his life and to share God’s word with others. One way he has chosen to do that is by preaching and to recount his personal sojourn, which includes protesting for civil rights (1965) and meeting Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King.
