CHURCH NEWS
Above is Our New Mission Statement*
A Leadership Nominating Committee was elected at the April 25th Session Meeting: Chair Brian Malek, Clerk Kim Brannan and Chaplain Nancy Corwin.
Roles & Responsibilities of Leadership Nominating Committee
To work with Presbytery’s Commission on Ministry to assist in our interim phase.
To begin the Interim Pastor search as quickly as possible.
To ultimately prepare the congregation to form a Pastoral Nominating Committee to search for a new, permanent pastor
This team will also spearhead the Transition Process, tapping other members as needed, to ensure that all details of running the church are in place prior to Rev. James’ departure, and continuing thereafter. Nancy Corwin is leading the interview process for an Administrative Assistant. This summer, we will feature Pulpit Supply Pastors to preach and lead worship on Sundays, with plans for an Interim Pastor by early Fall.

Thank You, HPPC from End 68 Hours of Hunger
As the school year draws to a close, the End 68 Hours of Hunger Community would like to thank you again for the use of the building and for all the ways you have supported us throughout our journey to reach so many students. James has been so helpful to rescue us when the alarm was set off or when Amazon delivered a package after hours.
Our rooms at HydePark Pres have enabled us to feed 600 children in this pantry alone. We look forward to working with you in the future.
Thank you so much. Carol LoCicero Kline and Sandy Kennedy
Diapers, Diapers, Diapers!
Thank you for your generosity to the Moms at Beth-El Farmworkers Ministry. Diapers are a most welcome gift as well as a necessity! Nancy Corwin with our Missions Ministry is currently arranging a time to deliver them out to Wimauma, with the help of Chip Waters’ truck! A big box of craft and art supplies was also donated by Jett Tanner for Beth-El’s art teacher.
Memorial Day, May 29
To many, Memorial Day symbolizes the unofficial start of summer, (and an excuse for sales and closed offices) but what is the holiday for exactly?
The American holiday, marked by parades and ceremonies, and observed on the last Monday of May, is an opportunity to honor military personnel who died while serving in the U.S. military.
Enjoy a safe and peaceful Memorial Day weekend, and pray for those families whose loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice serving our nation.
Which Task Force Will YOU Join?
Each Church Member needs to become involved in the process of reviving our congregation.
We need YOUR ideas, your desires & needs, and your help! We want everyone to become ACTIVE again!
Join us for lunch and brainstorming on June 4th! RSVP now!
Please continue to pray for our leadership and each member of our church family as we move forward with hope.
To bless Pastor James & his family as they seek another ministry call
To lead us to the right Interim Pastor
To bless HPPC as we strive to rebuild and revitalize our church
