Honor Your Mother by Helping Other Moms
Mother’s Day Diaper Drive for Beth El Farmworkers
Parents who work in the fields near Beth-El Mission need our help. Money is tight and diapers are a necessity if you have a small child. That’s where we can make a difference. You are invited to make a donation of diapers to honor your mom. Please bring them with you when you come to church between now and May 18. Or pick something from the list (Amazon list here)and have it sent to the church.
Monetary donations are also welcome so Missions Angels can shop for you. Thanks again for sharing the spirit of Christ with those around us.
CrossWalkers Tues. May 20 Back in the Bayou!
Young-ish adults gather for dinner and discussion at Bob and Carol Kline’s “new ground floor” home at 1206 S. Suffolk Drive. We begin at 6:30 Tues. May 20 for dinner.
We’ll be reviewing “Transparency” as the next topic in our study on finding your people. The key verses for this study are Romans 8:1 and 1John 1:6-8:
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Deborah: Old Testament Leader & Inspiration for Women Today: May 18 &25
This Adult Class Bible Study will be led by Kelly Beiro. Deborah is the prominent leader in Judges 4 and 5. She served as a prophet, judge, and military leader in ancient Israel. She’s best known for her role in leading the Israelites to victory against the Canaanite army, a feat detailed in both the prose narrative of Judges 4 and the poetic Song of Deborah in Judges 5.
May 18 @ 11am – What is the story? What happened? Who was she? Why was a woman leading Israel? May 25 @ 11am – What does Deborah’s story mean for women today in 2025?
Would you like to be one of our Steeple People?
The Hyde Park Memorial Steeple will soon be completed as a symbol of God’s everlasting presence in our lives and our community. What better way to honor someone who has been special to you, or in the life of the church, than to symbolically make them part of this historic beacon of hope?If you would like to join the church families whose memorial funds will be designated for this project, please consider making a one-time memorial contribution in the name of a loved one … or just contribute because you want to help!
Our steeple has undergone repair and restoration work and painting is complete. The Cross (blown over in Hurricane Milton) is soon to be restored with new, updated lighting. The bell chimes are once again ringing. The Hyde Park Memorial Steeple will be a daily reminder of our mission: to be the Light and Love of Christ in action for our community.
Donations will be noted in the Bulletin and read aloud at a Dedication Service this Fall; $200 or more will be noted on a plaque; $500 or more will have a memorial brick in a future patio on the front lawn.
Click Hereto donate, or Church Center app, or by check. Note Steeple People.
We will personally contact all donors for dedication wording.
