EVENTS & FELLOWSHIP
TONIGHT! 12/7   Christmas Show & Tell One positive takeaway from our Zoom Advent times over the pandemic was sharing about a favorite Christmas memento (ornament, toy, gift, book, tradition) to show-and-tell with the group. (It’s ok if you want to just come and listen. We won’t put you on the spot.) If time allows, there will be a festive “Little Blessings” scavenger hunt found in our adult Sunday school curriculum.
12/14  Christmas Karaoke
12/21  Birthday Party for Jesus

All Advent programs are for all ages (so no child care) and end no later than 8:00 pm. Click on above dates to register ($10 dinner deadline is Sunday night prior or bring your own) through Church Center. Paper forms are available at church to pay by check.

Thank You to the Decorating Team!

A big merry Thank You to the peeps of all ages who gathered Saturday morning (and for prior preparation) to deck the halls and lawn for Christmas.

Jolly elves were Nancy Corwin; Hunter, Wilson, Christina and Tony Brannan; Margot, Stacey and Josh Crum, Kim Brannan, James Friesen, Mark Steiner, Lynda Waters, and indispensable ladder-man Dek Wright! Thanks also to those who contributed new playground and shrubbery lights to add even more to the beautiful outdoor tree.

Betsy McElaney, Marie Warner, Nancy, Kim and Lynda also met earlier to refresh bows and garlands.  Stay tuned for an opportunity to make some minor repairs on our Christmas and Advent banners.

Advent Devotionals Available!

If you want a family or adult devotional booklet for advent, it isn’t too late.
See Miss Ilma or Sarah Friesen to get yours!

Prayers in the Chapel
Wednesdays, 5:00-7:00 pm

Pop in after work, or before the Wednesday Advent Program to pray and reflect upon the what the Lord has done for each of us individually, HPPC as a congregation, fellow Christians as a body of believers, and those who have yet to experience salvation through the love of Jesus Christ.

This will be a time to  pray in the stillness and  “hear that voice crying out in the desert.” If you are not sure how or where to start, prayers, devotionals, and music will be provided.

Adults: Wonder of Advent Bible Study.

Celebrate Christmas: the HOPE that Jesus will return and make all things new; the JOY that comes from worshiping Him today and for eternity; the PEACE we experience with God today and what we long for our world; and the LOVE of a God who sacrificed His own Son to be in relationship with us.
Book is available on Amazon.
