CHURCH NEWS

New Date: Congregational Meeting
Sunday, October 9, 2022

Since your Session was unable to meet because of Hurricane Ian, the Congregational Meeting has been moved to October 9th. The meeting will immediately follow the 10:00 worship service in order to elect a new slate of ruling elders.

HPPC All Church Survey now available.

As a church family together, we want to establish priorities as HPPC moves forward. Thank you for participating in this survey which will be identifying strengths, as well as opportunities for improvement. The anonymous survey is being conducted by Leighton Ford Ministries, a Christian non-profit that specializes in ministry leadership. Each member of a household (16 years and up) should respond.

The survey will take you about 20-30 minutes to complete. You will need to complete the survey in one sitting. (If you are interrupted before sending, you will need to start over.)

Password:  hppfl
On Church Center:
the survey link is on the home page, as well as the letter to the Congregation.
Use QR code: takes you right to the survey.
Paper Surveys: will be available after Worship, on the island next to the office and at the luncheon on Wednesday.
Call or email the office: if you want a paper survey and return envelope mailed to you.

The Books of the Bible recited by
Carter Claire Crum and Madeline Plyler

If you pass by our Chapel following the worship service, you’re sure to hear the kids singing … and learning the Books of the Bible. Two students celebrated “moving further” by reciting them. You can see and hear Carter Claire Crum recite the books of the Old Testament, and Madeline Plyler recite the New Testament.
They worked very hard on this; please congratulate them when you see them in church!

To ALL: Can we get your current information??
(Really, how long ago did you disconnect your home phone or change your email??)

So much is happening at HPPC right now, and we know we don’t have current information from many of you. Please help us get it all together so you don’t miss out, and we don’t waste a stamp on some important mailings, phone calls, emails, etc.

Even if you’ve been here “forever,” please send the following information to the office:
1. Name of each adult
2. Phone of each adult
3. Email of each adult
4. Full mailing address
5. Childrens’ name and current school grade or age

Church-wide surveys will be sent soon: we want to be sure you get your chance to share your ideas.
Send your information to the office@hydeparkpres.com or call 813-253-0069.

Worship Service Child Safety

While we realize that sometimes nature calls at the most inconvenient times, please remember HPPC’s Child Safety Protocols call for all children to be accompanied by an adult when in the building; anyone can enter through our open doors.

Both the Orleans and Willow doors are now open during Worship.
