Sunday Sneak Peak!

There will be no Thesbyterians September 28 or October 5.

We will have a Congregational meeting immediately following the worship service

to act on the Nominating Committee’s report, which includes the slates for the 2028 Class for Session and the 2026 Pastor Nominating Committee. There will also be a report on the progress of the Building Committee.

Everyone had a wonderful time seeing old friends and hearing Matt’s sermon—his first ever! A special thank you goes to Jett, Marc, Bruce, Stacey, Ann, and Paul for all their help setting up and making things work. Paul’s wood for the campfire was perfect! Andrea Jones made the fun marshmallow on the sticks before she left on an out-of-town trip. Cedarkirk’s Cinnamon Rolls were a tasty piece of nostalgia for us, and it’s nice to know they are still making them every Sunday.

News and Announcements

The Session meets September 30th at 7pm!
Pastor John will be teaching Adult Sunday School class in October on the subject of “Spiritual Geography.”
HPPC co-hosts the Hyde Park Halloween Pet Parade October 18th! Stay tuned for details on ways you can participate!

SUNDAY SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS? New Sunday School Classes are coming in October, and we need one more assistant each Sunday for the kid’s program from 10:30am – 12:00noon. If you know a high school student that needs service hours or someone else who can help, please contact Jett at jett.tanner@gmail.com
The Children’s Ministry is looking for LEGO or DUPLO blocks! Please keep a eye out when you’re at a thrift store, garage sale or your local Buy Nothing or Swap Shops for these precious “jewels”. Or—if you have a cache of Legos we can borrow for the month of October, HPPC Kids will take good care of them. Reach out to Jett if you find any Lego treasure!
