EVENTS & FELLOWSHIP

Deck the Halls after Worship This Sunday, Nov. 24th!

Yep, the first Sunday in Advent is Dec. 1 and we want to come back from our Thanksgiving holidays to a beautifully decorated church.
Stay after Worship this Sunday (no classes) to place the garlands, climb ladders to hang the banners, decorate the tree, put swags on doors and pews, and help outside to put up lights and the Joy Sign.
There will be some food to sustain us … fun (and tasks) for all ages!

Common Security Concerns and How to Help:

Building security is everyone’s responsibility. By staying vigilant, we can ensure HPPC remains a safe, secure, and welcoming space for all members, staff, volunteers, and visitors.

Tailgating: (an unauthorized person follows someone into the building)

  • Always ensure that doors close securely behind you. Politely ask unknown individuals to identify themselves and confirm their purpose at HPPC.

Propping Doors Open: (convenient, but a significant security risk.)

  • Always close and lock doors after entering or exiting, especially during off-hours. Take a moment to be sure the door is secure.

Blocking Security Cameras: (Clear visibility is crucial for monitoring.)

  • Be mindful of the placement of furniture, decorations, or other items that might obstruct the view of security cameras.

Lights Left On: (turning them off improves security, conserves energy and reduces costs.)

  • At the end of the day or after events, please double-check that all lights are turned off, except those designated for safety or security purposes.

How You Can Help:

  • Follow established procedures for key access and do not share your access credentials with anyone.
  • Always check that the door locks when you are the last to leave.
  • If you notice an unfamiliar person or unusual activity, report it immediately to the appropriate staff or security personnel.

If you have any questions or observe something that needs attention, please don’t hesitate to notify the Tech Team at techteam@hydeparkpres.com or the church office.
