Consecration Sunday Recap

Thank you all for attending our very first Consecration Sunday.

We held a unified service and 84 people were in attendance. The praise team and the choir filled the room with beautiful worship music.  Reverend Jim Capps spoke and shared a very inspirational message about blessings of giving, and God’s faithfulness.

” God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.” 2nd Corinthians 9:8

The message concluded with a call for prayerful consideration of each family’s commitment to God and His church, and planned financial commitment to HPPC.  The congregation proceeded to the front of the church one by one and turned in their commitment cards.

At the conclusion of the service we all shared a luncheon catered by Open Fire, a Brazilian food truck, which was delicious. There was a wonderful time of fellowship in celebration of God’s faithfulness to our church.  At the end of the luncheon Rev. James reported the planned giving to the church based on the commitments received that day of 45 families, of which 23 stepped up over their last year commitment. Based on our projections this should increase our operating budget by 4% compared to the 2019 budget. Praise God!

If you were not in attendance and would still like to step up for Christ and His Church you can email your planned financial commitment to Kathy in the office at finance@hydeparkpres.com, and you can even schedule your gift online: https://app.easytithe.com/App/Giving/hppc
